I may have felt it more because I'm from New-Brunswick, but I thought their wealth (and empire if you can call it that) was visible to everyone.

If you're ever in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, make sure to have a peek inside the forestry building at Acadia University - it's one of the most impressive buildings I've seen at any university anywhere. All paid for by Irving.
