Nice, didn't know about this certification program until I saw your post.
Not trying to steal your thunder, but I just took it and passed it too

There's no cost for taking the test online at »www1.digium.com/en/train ··· ons/dcaa
No idea about the cost if you want to take any of the training classes.

That's great that they're doing that now, and especially nice that they haven't turned it into a profit center (yet) like so many other companies have with their certification programs.

Hopefully they'll start a similar program for FreeSWITCH although it's a somewhat different business model. Digium supports Asterisk in order to sell hardware cards, etc. while the FS project is tied-in with the Barracuda CudaTel, a complete FS-based telephone appliance.

Ah, so there's a free certification now.

Too bad it requires Flash, and Flash hasn't been working properly on my PC for a few months now.

Oh well. I already know I know Asterisk inside and out

Yes, but you know that potential customers and employers want that piece of paper. Too bad these certifications potentially attract the kind of folks who respond to TV ads like the old one with Sally Struthers saying, "You can train to be a computer programmer at home in your spare time in just 2 weeks!"

"I've plugged my computer into a network before and I can spell TCP/IP, so how hard can it be?"
