[Satellite] Snow sticking to dish.

Hi , i've always used in the past jigaloo silicone lubrificant on dishes to prevent the snow from sticking but i was looking at rain-x which should do a better job , i would though like to know if rain-x is safe on dishes before using it.

Would by any chance someone know ?

Thanks

Seems to work except for wet heavy snow. Treatment may last for years.

One guy said "i've had luck with a black plastic garbage bag tied over it. doesn't affect the signal and the snow just melts/falls off. I would have my current dish that way but it's on the roof, over 2 stories up."

Ok thank you , my antenna is on the roof also so putting a plastic for me it's not something that i would want.

Thanks

I meant that Rain-X seems to work except for wet heavy snow and one treatment may last for years. The plastic bag was an alternative solution.

I understood but im pretty sure it would still work better than the jigaloo unless someone know's if it would be or not.

The plastic bag is a good idea but if it tear then going on the roof to change it is not want i would want to do.

Thanks
