kudos:2 | [Praise] Avast! I think Avast! is the best Anti-Virus in my opinion. It does not slow down your PC none whatsoever. When i were using version 6 i did see a little slow down, but with version 7 i do not see any slow downs at all. It feels like i am not running an Anti-Virus  |

I do too (on both machines), but I don't even know if it's actually done anything for me. I don't recall ever seeing a popup that something was caught. Maybe I don't visit sites that are a threat.  |

Go to »www.eicar.org and try to download the antivirus test file. It's not a real virus, just a code that is supposed to be recognized by a working antivirus. |

Any version newer than 7.0.1426 brings my Win7 laptop to a crawl. Update or clean install after running the removal tool.
Newer versions work well on other comps in house. |

| Yep, 1995 McAfee $39 for I computer. Upgrades same price.
Then Norton OEM $20, one computer and by that time I had 3 computers.
I still have 6 avast! paid licenses but now only 4 computers. Hope to add a new one next month.
