kudos:2 | Sharpening Basics Just a quick little tutorial on the basics of sharpening in LR, and what what the various sliders do/mean. From using the software, I know what to expect from using each one, but never really knew the what and why behind it.

I do pretty much everything in DPP, GIMP, and when needed Neat Image, but I am tempted to get Lightroom just for the detail slider. I think I would use the detail slider when I shoot birds. |

Thanks for the tutorial. The author has a couple of good books on Layers in PS, as well. I tend to use »www.pixelgenius.com/sharpener/ for sharpening, and the site will allow you to have a look at and download the manual. I've been using it for a couple of years, and like the ease with which you can sharpen specific areas, as well as sharpen globally. |
