[Tampa] Cisco 8742 IR

You referring to the remote control? What is the application?

Purchased an ir kit over hdmi and in trouble shooting the question was asked if the box was single band 38khz or dual band 56khz the sender/receiver that shipped was single but the newer senders/receivers are dual @ 56 and backwards so I couldn't find the info about the box online so I consulted this forum which seems very knowledgeable. The question I guess is if its 38khz replacing them wouldn't help so I'm wondering if I need to move on to another ir kit.

The front eye is 56khz only and is located 1/8" to the right of the front USB jack.

Russound IR-Remod may help this solution. Powered unit, takes ir in at 40k and remodulates to 56k through a single output. Solves lots of problems.
