Spare Modem

I have 7 mbs with a Qwest/Actiontec m-1000 modem. I use it in bridge mode.

Looking for a spare, I see them on Ebay which I rather not trust.

Recommendations.

PK5000 modem is what I recommend if you are on just a 7mbps line...

The M1000 is getting outdated.

You don't need much if you are just using it in bridged mode - I'm still using a couple of Cisco 678s.

Thanks, I will look at the PK5000 and look to see if the wireless can be turned off. Yes the M1000 is kind of long-in-the-tooth.

Re: Spare Modem

Before you bridge it turn off the wireless works fine.

Bridge only.

Very dependable. Under $50 new.

My remote office locations use these exclusively now and we never need to reboot them.
