"thepiratebay.se" Immediately loaded for me but that might be because I'm using non-cached 4.2.2.1 & 4.2.2.2 for DNS.
I dislike isp supplied DNS servers.

Google DNS servers: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
OpenDNS servers: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
Use either of these. They are faster, more reliable and more secure
