So cogeco blocks inbound port 25 even for those on start. I got a VPS that costs $15 a year.
What I am trying to do is forward port 25 on the VPS to my server at home on a different port. I've been using socat which works but I was wondering if there was a way to hardcode a forward with IPtables in Linux. IPtables is outside my realm of knowledge but I wonder if any of you know.
The typical way to do this would be create a tunnel from your home to your VPS, then your home cable connection would appear to have an IP from your VPS subnet and can accept mail on 25 through that tunnel.
