| Intellitext ads?? I seem to be seeing these now on DSLR and other websites where I view text. I am using the latest firefox browser and this has only started recently (like within the past week).
Anyone have any ideas on this?

1 edit | Thanks for the link but I think the info is no longer on »www.sillysot.com/other.htm .
In any case I have now fiddled with some of the FF settings in "Options" and updated Adblock+ and that seems to have eliminated the problem. Not sure what did it tho.
Edit:
BTW there is a block incorporated in Adblock+ (EASYLIST Filters) - namely: "/intellitext."

Do you see Intellitext ads on DSLR? I'm not sure but I don't think we have those here. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
If you see them everywhere, chances are that you either installed something recently or got infected by a drive by adware. -- You can catch the Devil, but you can't hold him long. |

| I did see them on DSLR and other websites using Firefox browser but as mentioned they seemed to have stopped now. I will be running my weekly system deep scans forvirus/adwazre/malware either later today or tomorrow so if anything further shows up I should be able to eliminate it. -- If my online experience is enhanced, why are my speeds throttled?? You may have stopped it by disabling javascript or using adblock, etc... but the underlying problem is most likely still there. It could be as simple as a browser add-on or or a toolbar, etc...
Try to remember what you installed / downloaded that might have brought this with it. -- You can catch the Devil, but you can't hold him long. |
