Experiences with NetZero 4G Broadband in Chicago Area?

Looks pretty promising, even if somewhat limited compared to broadband. There's no dedicated URL (surprisingly) so you can just visit »netzero.com to learn more (if you're new to it like me).

Mostly curious about performance / Speedtest results in your area.

This post does not belong here this is for people in the industry.

A mod will move it to wireless users.

They appear to be reselling Clear which based on Clear reviews would indicate the service is horrible.

The service tends to suck with anything highly portable (aircard, hotspot). It's quite a bit better with their desktop modem. But NZ doesn't sell the desktop modem.

Modem... isn't it a wireless tech / something that is only received by a wireless antenna in one's computer? Is their modem MAc compatible?

The hotspot takes the Clearwire WiMAX signal and broadcasts a WiF signal, like a tiny wireless router. The aircard plugs into your computer via USB. The hotspot can be used with a Mac, even when you connect it via USB...I have done so before on my iMac. I'm not sure about the aircard.
