Is there a way to get Verizon Fios to the new Providence Village community of 380, there's only one two ISP's in that area and I'm 110% sure people would prefer to switch over to FIOS
reply to Malli If they are in the town already you might have a chance. The property owner would have to allow it.
Around here (NY) they seem to be working on bring service into apartment buildings they run by anyway. On my street the condos and townhouses have had service for years. The lines run right by us to get to them. I have seen plenty of Verizon contractors in the area with the Orange conduit on the back of their trucks.
In July Verizon contractors came out and started the work on the property. Last month they started installing the service.
However if they aren't in your town you can probably pretty much forget it as the other poster said they aren't building out anymore. But the do seem to be selling in the areas they are already in.
reply to Malli Are you guys sure they are stopping? I am a fios subscriber and also see a lot of fios trucks doing installs around my area also my friend is just waiting for the poles to be near his house enough to signup for fios we witnessed fios trucks yesterday so that means it's coming to his place very soon.
