| Hey Duck, Pig here in Florida. In November they installed new cabinets from Johnson FL to Citra, Orange Springs and south. Nothing is hooked up. Fiber in the ground, saw that. The cabinets are in place because I can see them. None of them that need power are hooked up to the electrical grid, so I know they are just sitting. I wonder how long they will sit here unused. Talking to them they won't even acknowledge I can see them. All they do is lie. Now the local field techs are good people. I am sure the people that answer the phone are, but they can't say anything to endanger their jobs. Welcome to the NWO. Every cell company acts like this now, every anything thing company does this now. At some point over all not just windstream the country needs to realize customers are not the priority of these massive corporations we have allowed to form, except for collecting the monthly bill. -- | Speedstream 4200 Modem - 3m/384 plan | W98-W2KSP4-XPSP2 - All AMD | Buffalo WHR G54S with Tomato 1.18 | 3 downstream switches feeding 6 total clients (no wireless) | Including the Data port on the side of my neck | |

| reply to duck If i may chime in.......Same story in Kershaw, except ours have the power hooked up. They had all equipment(that you can see) installed since March. Power was run shortly after March. If they not going to hook them up, then they should start giving credits. We paid for all that, we're paying that power bill, but we're not getting the service. I don't give a damn how hard it is to hook all of this up, as small as Kershaw is, 9 months should have been more than enough time. It does no good to ask anyone with Windstream, they're just going to lie to you. What I don't get is why all the lies? If none of it is going to be hooked up until 2020, then don't tell us it's going to be done 3 months past every time a deadline has come and gone. Windstream is a damn good example of why rural areas should be serviced by a co-op. The only thing i can say good about Windstream is our local field techs are outstanding people. It sucks that the company gives them a shitty rep while they are out here making what they have work for us. Windstream as a company is an overall damn shame, period. |
