a "pretty good" subset of FIOS; 75 channels, including an HBO and many of the "Discovery" channels.

I can't get it to work on my ipad. Keeps crashing. I wonder if it is because I have a 1st generation ipad.

Purchased a Smart Bul-Ray player that is supposed to be combatible with the verizon TV APP. Well it is not. What a waste. I am 0-2 trying to get Fios to work on my Ipad and my Samsung Smart TV.

It works fine on my 1st gen iPad.

Try a backup and full hard reset.

Crashes a lot on my 2nd gen iPad, especially when I try to access the STB remote control functions. The old iPhone/iPod remote app works fine for that, even on the iPad. I do like the live TV function but I wish we could get the local broadcast channels as well as the regional sports networks. Hopefully those will be added.

Forgive me if this is a clueless question, but is this/will this be available for android? I know there's an android app to control DVR, etc. but I'd love to be able to watch TV on my tablet when travelling.

Verizon was asked via twitter, and the response: "All in good time." which is a typical response from a company that doesn't "get" how to treat customers.

Thanks, PJL. I've noticed a number of companies coming out with iPad apps before Android apps, which mystifies me, since I'm under the impression that there is a much wider Android installed base. There are many Android-compatible tablets (and smartphones) and only iPad (and iPhone) on the Apple end.

There are probably more iPads at this point then Android tablets, although for cell phones the numbers of Android phones to iPhones are closer if not greater.
