Ya, I'm in the Sissonville, WV area. And my connect is very similar, started yesterday.
And today:
Last time I had problems, was after that huge storm at the end of June, and that was due to the signals to my modem. But they seem fine right now.
I couldn't even stream 240p quality video last night without it 'hitching/pausing' constantly.
Forgot to mention, thats the 15mbit plan also. |

this started today for me..I know sunday it was kinda slow too, but nothing like this.. I do wonder if the ice storm to the east has anything to do with this.
here is a ping test..something is for sure up...
but if I run a trace it doesnt show anything bad..most in the 70's with no lost packets |

Yeah, not only that, but that 3 is the max you can get in most markets, unless they have the 107/5
From what I can tell, the 107/5 package is the same price as what I pay for 50/3 to boot.
I wish they had custom options for upload and download speeds. I'd get something like 100/25 or 100/50 depending on the price differences.

 Still have the flaky  107/5 that only provides that top speed the times around 5 AM, then averages about 45/5 most other times and now have deal with this crap.  
But Of course....the fiscal cliff awaits, so maybe this is as good as it gets.

Ya I don't know what's going on but, seems like quite a few from our area are all experiencing bad connections.
I just bypassed all my hardware and plugged the modem in direct just to check, here's what i got just a little after 9pm:
Web pages are REALLY slow to load, sometimes timing out.
Streaming video is a no go. |

Yea...more than likely it is because that just about everyone is on holiday vacation, and at home inside because of the cold weather, and another reason is that many have gotten some new internet device for Christmas, so SL now just does not have bandwidth to sustain it all.
Comcast subscribers just 20 minutes from here are not having anything even near these extreme slowdowns, but if one has ever browsed around other Provider forums during this time of the season, then there has always been some speed drop-offs during these Holidays , but nothing quite as evident like we are experiencing now with our provider. |

Here too, logging about .3Mbps on my connection. Called SL, and they state that there was a fire somewhere with some company and it might have burned some wiring or some fiber somewhere. Yeah, that's about how vague it was. |
