Re: [Connectivity] Jittery Latency (Lehigh Valley)

Thanks Brian I really appreciate the help on this! I've been having a tough time working from home because the VPN will disconnect on me. Also, my blackberry uses the internet for calls as well.

Mul,

We've got a maintenance scheduled for tomorrow morning. Your service will probably go down around 4am and be back up shortly after that. . Then you should be in really good shape.

Re: [Connectivity] Jittery Latency (Lehigh Valley)

If the maintenance did improve things, it's only a slight improvement. Here's a snapshot of a line quality test and ping test to aggr1.atw.pa.rcn.net, which seems to be the troublesome hop:

The pings always seem to spike at this hop, causing me added latency.

Would ordering a VoIP line change any of this? Because VoIP won't operate well on a line with high latency/jitter.

While some of them are pretty good, there's a bunch of bad ones still out there yet.
