Re: [Race to 90] The DSLR Ironman Challenger - Reloaded

Here's what I learned after NUMEROUS deaths, and then finally getting to 32 in one piece

Yes, hunters are the majority that have survived, and made it to the end; however, there was a warlock and a mage that made it as well. As a hunter, I ended up using a bear, after good advise from others here on the boards. Tough tank the bear. You are allowed to raise your dead pet, which I did a couple times; if you are more interested in the role-playing aspect, you may bury your dead companion and go seek a new one.

After a rough start, you will see the gold come in from quests, I did not bother with the auction house - just not worth it, repairs were minimal.

There are sites out there that will list what vendors in what town will have better gear you can buy that is NOT green/blue, try to upgrade when you can.

Being on the Wyrmrest server, people there were used to seeing others on the challenge - some may question you as to what you are doing, or try to invite you to their guilds - I just had to block guild invites, spent too much time trying to explain to others why I was not interested in joining their guild. I also got a lot of "good luck" whispers

The biggest key here is - slooooowwwww and steady. There are already people who have made this happen, you will not be first, or second, or even tenth, so no rush. Pick your fights well, be aware of what is around you, watch out for swarms.
