I believe you are referring to the 30 day limit. If you are slammed you have 30 days to protest the fraudulent activity and be not be able to be held liable for those charges. Once beyond 30 days it will be considered a valid debt/contract you will be obliged to pay the long distance carrier whatever they have charged you.
