Help With Logo Colors...

Click for full size
Logo
Hi Members,

Would anyone be able to help me, as I'm not that good with Photoshop. I'm trying to change the red and green colors of this logo to reflect navy blue and gold. Leaving the diamond field green makes sense though. Any help is greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance. Feel free to be creative with the 2 colors, as mutilple designs to choose from is also greatly appreciated.

Something a little different.

I like the overall layout so I didn't want to change it much.

I really didn't take my time last night. I wanted to make the baselines white also.

Oh, and I forgot to smooth the edges so if you like either of these just let me know which one and I'll smooth them out for ya.

Another slight change...

Dolphins, looking at all 3, it's a really hard choice! Would you mind smoothing edges on all 3 pics please? Fantastic job, thanks again!

Yeah sure, I will try to get to it in the next few days. If not, it will have to wait till the middle of next week because I will be away. I'm leaving Friday afternoon and won't be back till Monday.

The resolution of the original is quite low so I may have to recreate the whole graphic from nothing using the original as a guideline? The straight edges are easy but the rounded corners still came out somewhat jagged after smoothing. The low resolution and square pixels make it difficult to separate the color lines.

If you have a higher resolution original? It would speed up the process quite a bit and eliminate the need to recreate it from scratch.

Unfortunately, that's the highest resolution I have, or anybody has. Appreciate you doing this, whenever you have time. Thanks so much, greatly appreciated!

OK, I recreated the entire graphic at 150dpi so you can blow it up much larger without losing quality. In other words, no more jagged edges.

I'm including my work in two .psd files at a higher resolution than the .jpg. They include all the separate layers. That way if anyone else wants to improve upon it or just play around with different color schemes, they will have a much easier task.
NewLogo.psd
1343691 bytes
(NewLogo.psd.zip)

Logo Layers.psd
307964 bytes
(Logo Layers.psd.zip)

I'll check back later next week when I get back. I probably won't have much time tomorrow or Friday to help out.

My final request dolphins, do you think you'd be able to redo the last 3 in a yellow or gold outline like you did earlier? I love the solid blue diving player you added too! Trying to figure out how to incorporate a bit of yellow or gold into the players, or maybe a yellow "F" on the cap? The pinstripe uniform on the original logo makes no sense, since we wear solid color uniforms.

Anything you could do, and have already done is so greatly appreciated! Wonderful work!

Thank you.

You're welcome. I was a coach for many years here in my hometown and I am glad to help out a fellow volunteer.

Yes absolutely, I also felt as though the silhouettes needed a little something. I'll be able to make any changes you want when I get back on Monday. I'm leaving in a few hours.

Again, I encourage others to chime in as well. I'm attaching transparent .png files for those that are not able to open the .psd files.

I got back a day early. I chose a new batter that I was able to paint on your team's colors and letter.

Dolphins, you amaze me, talents galore. I promise, last requests.

Could you possibly redo the color to reflect a more yellowish-gold like you did in your first post? The new player and "F" you added is a KEEPER! Light grey color the pants, and yellowish-gold the sox?

I'm thinking the logo with the player diving might be a bit to busy?
Maybe delete the black shadow making it look 3d?
and
delete that diving player completely?

That would give 2 final logo choices, which I can take to the meeting this Tuesday for a vote.

www.ftllbaseball.com is our site, check it out, and know your logo chosen will be on that page top soon!

I can't thank you enough, this is simply wonderful work!

I have checked out that site, that's how I got your team colors.

Here's the changes you wanted.

Thank you for the kind words and you're very welcome for the help. Like I mentioned earlier, anything for fellow volunteers (well almost anything)

If you run across other teams or anyone looking for graphic work. If you would be so kind to direct them here, I would surely appreciate the effort. As always, I do all work for volunteer organizations free of charge. I am also looking to expand my portfolio to attract individuals and businesses that would be willing to hire me as their graphic artist. This is a new business venture for me and my skills increase with every job I complete. So in that way, you have already contributed to my new venture.

If after the meeting you come up with more ideas/changes be sure to ask as I am happy to help out.

WOW Dolphins! Amazing, REALLY!

Feel like coloring the diving player to somehow reflect the batter in the first 2? Maybe grey pants, and a # on his back?
And maybe all yellow the sox on the batter?

Final 3, that's it!

I can not thank you enough for the countless hours you have spent doing this!!!

Simply AWESOME WORK!

I actually found the photo of the player the silhouette is modeled after. I was able to alter the photo to reflect your team colors but now the batter seems out of place due to it being a drawing. Do you have any live action photos of one of your team players batting?

My alternative would be to hand draw the diving catch player. Unfortunately my hand drawing skills are not on par with my Photoshop brush skills.

Hi Dolhpins,

Just got back from the Board Meeting; these people are too funny! They loved the logos, and the progression of the creation.
This one stood out: NewLogo%203

Any chance of doing the following:
Change the green background to a wood grain, but keep the actual diamond green to distinguish the field?
Use a light wood grain and a darker one if possible?
So now you'll have 2 logos with different wood grain backdrops.

Then, just switch out the player for the newer one you put in? Maybe do a few with the solid color sox, and then the one where you had the slight color sox?

That would give 6 final variations, which i'll take back to the Board meeting in 2 weeks.

Anything you could do is so greatly appreciated. Thank you-AGAIN!

I'm assuming that "NewLogo%203" is this one?

Unfortunately you must reupload a picture here, copy/paste doesn't work in the forums.

I have some free time this week so I thought, "Well, why not get crazy?"

Here's a new look...

Cool new look logo Dolphins!

Here's the one they were keen on. Could you do the requests from the last post please?

Since you offered...was thinking of also doing a logo for the gals softball. Simply replace the ball player on the left of the logo with a very similar gal player on the right? Keep the same colors please. This is greatly appreicated.

Thanks so much for your help!

When they decide on which one they want, I'll omit the male batter and put a female player on the other side.

OK, here is the one in your last post with the new batter.

Player matches logo now

I'll get the rest of your requests up soon.

Oh I was playing around with logos waiting for your reply earlier this week and I made a few different versions. I can add the player later.

Thanks again Dolphins! Could you please adjust the "yellow" in the player to reflect the "gold" in the logo. That logo is the color scheme they liked best.

Much appreciated - again, thank you!

In the 4 above wood backdrops, can you match the blue/gold colors as you did in the player you just edited please. What a
pain I must be! Thank you, thank you.

No problem! How else are you going to convey what you want?

I made so many of these logos... I sometimes go colored blind.

I refined the new logo a bit and applied the gold color you wanted. I'll have the others up shortly.
