[Internet] What version of windows do i need?

I have windows server 2008 R2 and I cannot connect to my router network. It says the settings on this computer do not match the requirements of the network. What's wrong?

IP address of server has different scope than the network possibly.

Your server could be trying to obtain a static IP from the network, make sure the IPV4 settings are set to DHCP.

he is running windows server 2008 R2 and he doesn't know why it will not connect. Tells me be doesn't know too much about running a windoze server. It could be setup as a DHCP server in a different subnet then the DHCP running on the router.

Why are you running windows server 2008 R2 to start with?
