| Spam Guard and the AT&T Yahoos Spam Guard is OFF but insists on putting legitimate emails in the spam or trash folder.
I purchased an AC from sears and waited patiently for the order confirmation which sears kept saying they'd already emailed.
Then I went to att/yahoo and looked in the spam folder!
There it was, right below where it says "SpamGuard is off",
the order confirmation email from sears.
Then I looked in the trash folder and found 10 more order confirmation emails from sears!
I called tech support and a guy in the Phillipines told me that I needed to understand that Spam filters work on imperfect algorithms and sometimes spam gets by...HELLO!
Pay Attention! Spam Guard's algorithm is supposedly OFF.
I called AT&T customers (dis)service. The very nice young woman said AT&T wasn't responsible for my email (she got that right), that AT&T sells me internet access but provides email service FREE and is therefore not responsible.
I just checked my email trash folder in the AT&T/Yahoo email site.
I had an email from Sears shipping department. The AC got shipped and should be here on Friday.
I'm glad I fished the tracking number out of the trash... |

The box should not be checked if you aren't using the spam folder.

But right now there's one of those nigerian scam spam emails
that the SpamGuard that's supposed to be OFF put there.

I never use the web mail, only Windows Live Mail. I checked the spam folder in the web mail and there were three emails, two which I would not consider spam and the one from Nigeria. I, also have the Spamguard box unchecked. I guess I'll have to check this folder more often. |
