verizon data plans

sorry if this has been discussed

I am new to verizon smart phones and a little confused. I bought my daughter a smart phone and was convinced by the sales rep to purchase 4 gig data plan. My daughter has been conscientious and has keep the data down to .6 gig. I would like to lower the data to 2 or 1 gig. If I lower the plan and she goes over the new lowered data plan can I just go the web site and raise the data before my cycle ends with out having to pay a the penalty??

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure about going down but yes, when increasing your plan to avoid an overage, it works no problem on the website. I have done it for both data overage and text overage. It even gives you the option to apply the rates as of the current day or go back apply to the entire billing cycle you are in.

My plan has 2 smart phones and data usage is minimal.I started with 4 GB, then dropped to 2 GB and am now at 1 GB. I normally come in with a total of 0.25 GB so it suits me so much better.

Every ones needs/usage are different, so you have to do your homework.
