NWA1100-N Firmware Question

The img file is the firmware, just upload it to the device via FW update page.

Hmm I thought I had tried that, will give it another shot.
Ahh returns an image file error...........
Just for giggles I tried one step older firmware, same issue.....

Should I try an upload via telnet??
or factory reset??

No idea, I don't have that unit. But looking at the file with hex editor it seems to be indeed the firmware. As you mentioned, few things to try before contacting zyxel
1) reset to factory defaults
2) upgrade via other method i.e. telnet
3) rename the file to .bin (this shouldn't really work, but we've seen stupider things out there)

Hmm I think the problem is that although I have the model number NWA1100N on the physical label on therouter its the NWA1100N-CE model on the firmware side (cloud enabled).

There are no firmwares avail on the CE model that I can see.

Check on the unit current firmware. Is it UJG or AAQ?

I could not find the CE model either.

Nothing is more assuring than product on 1.00 FW while sister products in same product line are on N+3 patch level.

No kidding, the plethora of bug fixes means I probably have an unstable POS on my hands LOL. The signal is strong but pcs and now my samsung galaxy s3 attached to it reconnect an awful lot.

This is exactly what I so hate about ZyXel. When you release a patch, release it for the whole product family!
There were numerous examples in ZyNOS when something was available let's say on Z5 but not on Z2+ and/or Z2WG. Not speaking about P6xx series!!!
