Re: Typical Customer Data Usage

said by alexintexas:

even if this is the case a 15mb line is overkill for all above usage

My ISP charges my mother the same price for 5 Mbps Internet at her residence as they charge me for 15 Mbps at mine; less the stupid $6.50 modem rental fee they started collecting last year. No tiers, just a limit due to DSL and wireline distance.

Sadly this is the tech for DSL, however.....

if you are speaking of sonic.net

Fusion℠ delivers our fastest residential broadband at up to 20Mbps and traditional home phone service with unlimited nationwide calling all for a single low price $39.95+$6.95 modem fee. and is not an intro rate according to the site.

home phone on TWC alone = $39.95 a month
15Mb line is $54 a month + modem
3Mb line is $39.95 + modem a month if not mistaken

so i would take a 5Mb line and home phone at that rate

the same level of phone service on ATT or verizon = $70+ a month.
