Your Most Anticipated Games of 2013

I have quite a few, so do not feel like you need to have a list as big as mine. This thread idea came from Archie and Thaler talking about the topic in »[SC2] Heart of the Swarm available for pre-purchase. Hopefully, by seeing other people's lists, maybe you will get interested in some titles that you did not hear about. So, without further rambling from me:

Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm - PC (by Blizzard)
Watch Dogs - 360/PS3/PC (by Ubisoft)
Tomb Raider - 360/PS3/PC (by Square-Enix)
Splinter Cell: Blacklist - 360/PS3/PC (by Ubisoft)
Star Wars 1313 - 360/PS3/PC (by LucasArts)
South Park: The Stick of Truth - 360/PS3/PC (by formerly THQ, now Ubisoft)
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time - PS3/Vita (by Sony)
Remember Me - 360/PS3/PC (by Capcom)
Metro: Last Light - 360/PS3/PC (by formerly THQ, now Deep Silver)
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - 360/PS3 (by Konami)
The Last of Us - PS3 (by NaughtyDog/Sony)
Grand Theft Auto V - 360/PS3 (by Rockstar Games)
God of War: Ascension - PS3 (by Sony)
Gears of War: Judgment - 360 (by Epic/Microsoft)
Bioshock Infinite - 360/PS3/PC (by 2k Games)
Beyond: Two Souls - PS3 (by Sony)
Aliens: Colonial Marines - 360/PS3/PC (by Gearbox/Sega)

What about you all?

I'm mostly waiting on Metro, Bioshock and (hopefully this year) Wasteland 2.

And Tomb Raider to a degree. What to see what it's like, but not willing to pay full price for it.

In order of my interest:

Marvel Heroes
Firefall
Lineage Eternal (diablo type mmo, will incorporate next gen combat mechanics for the genre, lucky if it comes out this year)
Blade & Soul (mmorpg, going to be iffy it is good or not)
WildStar (another mmo, USA dev, very likely to be good!)
Archage (an unbelievable MASSIVE world mmo, lucky if it comes out this year to NA)

Archage and Blade & Soul are Korean mmos, it will be iffy if they translate well playstyle wise to NA

in the past there were very FEW games that were worthy of my time... now there are TOO many great games!

GW2+PoE+Marvel Heroes

is all quality, must play games, that will leave so little free time for anything that comes out will have to be AAA and demand me to play it

Marvel Heroes is going to be epic... Archage, LE, B&S and Wildstar will have to prove it!

I won't even try ESO if its P2P... if it is... it will fail

I might need to get some as I don't want this beer gut to turn into a keg gut.

Archeage review takeaways:

- Open World: Massive, seemless, beautiful
- Housing: Can be built, and persists in the open world, and can be built within a 250m radius of certain main cities. Housing protects you from theft, PKers. And it allows you to store your goods, and share your house with thsoe you choose.
- Castles: can be build similar to houses
- Castles and houses can be destroyed by the other invading faction. You have to pay taxes for having a house/castle
- Crafting, requires no leveling, you can craft for any profession
- Farming: you can farm anywhere, within reason, farming within radius of your house protects crops from theft
- Combat: OK and generic. Nothing innovative like Tera or GW2. Tab targeting pretty much like WoW
- The game has a very sandyboxy feel... while this is great for Korean audience, whether or not it works for NA is another story

I think Mike said it best: "STOP MAKING MMOS PEOPLE. YOU ARE NOT GOOD AT IT"

EOS will fail unless from the get-go its designed from the ground up to be free to play.

Heres a prediction:

- It will start with subscription, be intially popular because its skyrim
- interest will fade
- it will go F2P
- interest will rise
- interest will again deminish, with a small hardcore group

if this game goes P2P its gonna fail

the only game that succellfully pulled off a sub was WoW...

the only way it will work out is if its F2P from the getgo

these developers all think: "we are going to be different... we can pull off a sub"

heres a hint... YOU ARE NOT DIFFERENT... and history repeats

Stop screaming and take some Deer Antler Spray. I do agree though F2play is the way to go.

Nice list Goggalor. I'm eye balling Aliens Colonial Marines also. I'm going to wait on some reviews and real game play videos first though, and of course....a rockin low price Steam sale

And also, what I wouldn't give to have PC versions of God of War. One can only dream.
