 | 25mbs service but slow speeds - Middle Village, NY I've tried to get a hold of RCN customer support but the only time I can call is at night and they're always usually experiencing high volume calls. I've waited a hour and a half today and just gave up since it's already 1030pm.
So basically I'm subscribed to the 25down/2up package and the down speed is inconsistent throughout the day for the past week (See image for speed).
Is there a problem that we don't know about within the area since I read that other zip codes are having odd speeds? It's kind of hard to stream videos or even play some games online with this type of service. |

I got home around 5pm and ran a few test and it just dropped back down to 5.5Mbps again which will probably be the max throughout the rest of the day.

Here's some more test. I logged onto my DD-WRT router and followed the span of this test through the bandwidth monitor. Jumpy results =/
