Shaw has done this over and over again....so not sure why there is such a n outcry.
Shaw was just not that up-front with their price increases.
Telus instead is and is Iinforming their customer.
Shaw does it once a year, I've been with TELUS less than 7 months and this will be the 3rd increase I've had.

(just googled it: Shaw increased the prices for Broadband internet by $5 per month on March 14,2012)
They just NEVER tell you about it.
Only when you get your bill you will see it.
TELUS at least is upfront and posts this increase on their website and on the bills ahead of time.
SHAW HS 10 is $50 per month
TELUS Optik 15 is $50 per month soon, up from $42 (bundled with TV)
So 10 Mbits shared or 15 Mbits from TELUS?
Not sure which one would be more attractive?
