Re: Official Guild Wars 2 Thread
When I first did dungeons in GW2: I stood in place while fighting bosses.. ala WoW style, got killed all the time
Then I learned to move around, and I started always moving while fighting
And the final stage is, you dont have to move around all the time, just when its necessary and you recognize things... you move to dodge things or pick up bonus fields
in fractals 8 a dude corrected me: "why are you always kiting the boss in circles?... you are missing all of our bonus fields"
he was right
Sometimes its hard to tell when a boss is doing a special move. Too many sparkles on my screen. I'll just roll a mesmer and all will love me for Time Warp! And teleportations!
GW2 reduced button UI complexity
however, they made combat much more complicated, if you had 40 buttons like WoW it would not be possible
GW2 = less buttons, focus on the actual combat
WoW = more buttons, focus on buttons
I was just going to ask you how in the world do you play without a Naga. With all the movement involved I don't see how someone could be pressing 1,2,3,4....I love my Naga.
it isn't easy... but after 4 months of GW2 i have adapted
LOL. Great response. How does your wife like her new massages?
I remember WoW. I had my Naga and like 20 keybinds on my keyboard. It was CRRAAZaayy.
