I'm hovering around the 37" mark according to that map I posted from Fox61.

I'm watching your weather in the Boston area with interest. My daughter and her friend were going to travel there today for a concert at Boston University arena Saturday night. Instead they decided to leave yesterday and are safely encamped in Wakefield with a front row seat to your blizzard. My daughter's friend is a bit of a shutterbug so I'll happily share any interesting pics that she sends my way.

I hope everyone stays safe and warm.

The most panicky map I could find.

I got up early (10:30) and it had just started snowing. 33° now, starting to stick to the leaves.

It's been snowing since before dawn here. We have 5 inches already. This snow was unexpected and isn't even from the "blizzard" which starts this evening.

I posted a bunch of links and pics in the other thread. Maybe a Mod can move the stuff over here. Meanwhile...

I went to this website and manipulated the entries to get it to show a 36 hour snowfall total.

This is what it showed:

TOTAL driving ban in Ma on ALL roads starting at 4pm. This is a first, since the blizzard of "78". That ban was posted after the storm not before.

I was able to drive after the "78" storm because my job was considered essential. Being the only car on Route 128 on a bright sunny day was very strange.

This storm has a little bit of everything it looks like......unless that is just a really big snow blower.

Just got home from work (finally - had planned on more like 1PM). I'd like to say I could start the essential job of battening hatches and hunkering down but now I have to call my boss and help her with her personal iPhone because the weather is too snowy to go to the Apple Store.

The Weather Channel has named this storm Nemo. And every other media drudge is using that name. - What kind of name is that for a blizzard?
