Re: Dumbest how to... The battery is probably spot-welded onto a board. If it is a commercial battery, the number should be visible. If you are comfortable working with circuit boards it is no big deal. I replaced a phone cr2025 by simply cutting off the welded tabs. A quick touch of solder and wire to make a replacement lead works fine. A repair shop would likely replace the whole board $$$. |
