Re: 1Gbps to 10Gbps residential service?

I am not aware that any MSO offers even 300 Mbps using DOCSIS 3.0. Comcast has a residential 305 Mbps Metro Ethernet package (FTTP) in regions served by Verizon FiOS; but not for less than $100 a month. The only 1 Gbps Internet seems to be Google fiber in KCMO/KA, and assorted smaller fiber deployments, such as Paxio in Santa Clara, CA and Sonic.net, LLC in Sebastopol, CA; and similar small operations. These being true FTTP, not HFC-style FTTN.

Thanks. I keep telling him there's no way he can have 1Gbps speeds if RCN doesn't offer it. I think he may be terribly confused with what he is getting.
