Re: [NCAA-F] Paterno family; ex Gov; FBI experts dispute Freeh R

The respective reports speak for themselves. They are their own best evidence.

IMO based upon the reports and the significant amount of detail brought up publicly prior to those reports plus the evidence introduced at trial convince me that:

Paterno specifically was held accountable to a level and degree that he should not have been and some of the things attributed to him were either unfair or inaccurate.

Additionally the punishment imposed by the NCAA on the Penn State were way to severe when one considers the nexus between Paterno, the FB program, Sandusky and Sandusky's molestations.

In a limited or narrow and selective manner this was an example of a classic, "Search for the guilty and punishment of the innocent."

In other words the distribution of the punishment to fit the individual crimes were also inappropriate. Some folks got the appropriate punishment, some got less than they deserved, some got just the right amount, and some like Paterno got too much as did the football program and all of the hundreds of people especially students and players associated with it that were completely innocent.

1. What post or named person in this thread is the Penn State Alumni to whom you refer?

2. You're statement implies that all alumni of Penn State would agree on the facts of the incident and the actions and responsibilities of the people. You're not really saying that are you?
