It is very unlikely that AC RMS voltage would be that high for prolonged periods and not be reported by a whole bunch of neighbors to the utility.
By the way, the "peak" value for perfect 120V AC sine wave is actually 172V. So if your DMM was showing peak value, 154V reading may even mean you have lower than normal AC voltage. |
