Then I would have to watch them on the computer. I like to watch TV on a TV. Call me crazy!

I do not have any computers near the TV, they are on different floors, aside from a laptop. I could hook it all up, etc, but not worth my time.

Been watching the new season already, haven't had a chance to see EP4 but will hopefully tomorrow night.

So good to have TG back, the break was just too long.

I only started watching Top Gear in the fall of 2011. I had just caught up with watching all the old episodes before the new season started.

The new season has been ok so far. Clarkson's 4 wheel eco thingy at the end of the first episode was priceless.

I'd consider waiting to watch it on the BBC channel here, if that channel were in HD. Waiting a month to watch an episode and only have it in standard def is a deal breaker. Get with the 21st century

Get a better TV, with properly engineered upconverting.

It's a rights issue. In the UK, the BBC has a deal with the music publishers that allows them to use just about any music in their shows, including modern popular music, at least for the initial runs. In all other nations however, these rights have to be secured in advance. Sometimes, securing those rights are too expensive, so the original music is replaced with generic junk.

That's why in the Bugatti Veyron's top speed run in season 9, episode 2, you hear the Star Wars Sith Lord track in the original UK broadcast, and generic junk in every other broadcast including foreign broadcasts, both original and repeats.

And don't get me started on the butcher job done to the season 12, episode 8 Vietnam road trip special.

For the previous season of TG, BBC Canada actually showed the full length episodes. This time they are back to editing again and cutting out bits.

Either way, I still see enough and the music changes do not bother me. Niether does the SD.

Unedited, unadultered TG is much better than the crap BBC Canada and BBC US are spitting out. When I'm at the inlaws my father in law watches TG on his 4:3 TV, in SD, with commercials, with content edited, with the music changed I just cry inside. It brings the show's quality dowm to a crying shame considering how good of a job the BBC does on putting the show together.

The previous TG episodes shown on Netflix seem to have the music intact.
