[DNS] Can Comcast customers get to navy.mil?I see that » navy.mil has an error in their DNSSEC record, so I'm guessing this means Comcast members cannot reach the site. If you are on Comcast, can you? |

Unless something has magically been fixed, I'm able to get to the site without problems. All I did was click on the link in the OP's post, and that is what came up. And yes, I am on Comcast. --Brian |

Actually, it loaded for me from the OPs link initially but my second attempt to get there fails. |

If you go to the Air Force site » www.af.mil/ and click on Navy link at bottom right, you can get it. |
|

That's because the link points to www.navy.mil, but the OP's link points to navy.mil which has no A records and therefore can not be reached. |

There are A records for www.navy.mil What he said. It's www.navy.mil not navy.mil. |
|
|
You'd think that navy.mil should redirect to www.navy.mil, but yeah... I can get to one (www.) and not the other (no www). |

Nothing was magically fixed. Your browser prepended www. to the OP's URL which is navy.mil NOT www.navy.mil |

Try using » www.navy.mil instead; that site has A records (on akamai.net), and it works.

Was it ever a valid link? The following also do not work: army.mil af.mil marines.mil But putting the "www." in front of both and you can get to both just fine. The only one that does work is "uscg.mil" which redirects to "www.uscg.mil," but USCG is not part of DOD anymore, it's DHS, so perhaps superior IT support helps? (CC in VA on Chrome) |
