| [Help] Need Help With Edit I have a photo that I am looking to have cleaned up and I do not posses the know-how on how I should do it. This is a photo a very decorated service member who lost his battle to cancer. We are looking to put this in a town report where I live. I was asked to try and help, and I knew that this was the place to go.
Can this photo be despeckled and the shadow be removed? Would black and white be better?
I appreciate any help.

Boston, MA | Labor intensive.
Cleaned up head, face , cap, background. Just started on jacket removing some of those black horizontal lines.
I'm not sure what's the best method to tackle the specks all over the jacket. Brush them away on a pixel layer or perhaps the healing brush. I'm open to suggestions.
Anywho, taking a break for walking the pup, then dinner. Will attempt to clean up the jacket later.

Here we go. Worked at the uniform for a while and I'm fairly happy with the outcomes. I've posted two separate edits with subtle variations - including a B&W of each (though I didn't fuss with the B&W tones.)
I enjoyed the challenge and hope you are pleased.

Oh I'm still here. Just was a very busy weekend.
Thank you all so very much for your help! I know it will be greatly appreciated by all who get to see this photo in our annual report. More importantly I think his wife will love it more.
