The upload is pretty pathetic for such a connection. It should be more like 30Mbps.

Take note of the isp. You don't always get that speed though.

You must have stayed at U of T till like 2am... At Ryerson, everyone torrents their ass off and Internet always slows down to a crawl.

Even then, I'm surprised U of T can offer such a connection. Thought our crappy lines can't support such speeds.

Damn. Not much room for improvement when it comes to downloads, but upload speed could be better

I'm surprised your 175Mbps connection has an even faster upload speed.

I know, I find it hilarious. I really wonder what the profile is like since it still uses PPPoE for auth even though it's FTTH.

tbh it's a bit overrated you run of of things to do by the second day

How could you run out of things to do in one day?

after I've downloaded/uploaded everything needed (ie cloud backup) and played around with some extreme tests (stram full bluray through web) there weren't any things that took up more than 50down and 10 TBH

I can vouch for this. The upside is you get more work done and less time fiddling with network settings and the like.

That's not the point. You can't do everything in one day. Anyway, the bar should be set so the minimum is 50Mbps and 100Mbps is available to almost everyone with good pricing and no caps instead of 1Gbps for a small few.
