[Internet] Packet Loss and Intermittent Internet in St. Pete, FL

Hello all, this is my first time posting to this forum.

I am having intermittent packet loss on my RR lightning service, which is leading to slow and unresponsive internet and also no internet at all.

I have had three technicians out so far. The 1st replaced the modem. The 2nd replaced a coax cable in the box on the outside of the house, and the 3rd replaced a fitting on the pole, and also ran a tap test and other diagnostics.
All 3 techs said they could not find a specific problem. The level 3 tech support was able to find 20-25% packet loss on the phone, but every time the techs come out to service they find nothing wrong.

It seems like it happens after 5p when the temperature drops. I have read about others having the same problem and it being nothing to do with the cabling to the house, but something along Brighthouse's cabling.

This has started happening about a month ago, before that it was perfect.

I have a 4th technician coming out tonight between 6-8p. Hoping that the problem will be present when he is here so that he might be able to diagnose it.

Please help!!!

Thanks,

Bob

P.S. I am in the St. Pete, FL area.

Hi : I am having a similar issue. I'd appreciate you posting what resolved your issue. The way this forum is set up isolates subscribers from reading the resolution. I understand why they do this but it's frustrating not to see what works and if it could apply to my own situation.

These things are not user resolvable and what works for one does not work in cases for others...please go back to your direct thread as I have responded to it. Thanks

(edited because apparently the iPad lost its auto type mind)
