| Yup you got a great point, there are alot of places especially in canada where your stuck using either land line @9600 baud or with sat phones up in the far north, a WiFi network would be good also to alliviate the problems currently plaugeing poor copper phone lines and the slow upgrade rate of cable lines here as well.
My guess though for the hook you have to buy certain equipment, and provide a certain quality of access.
