[CenturyTel] CenturyLink not honoring promotions/agreements
Getting very disappointed with Centurylink (former Qwest Area). The service is good and I have recommended it to several friends. I have helped two of them get promotions through the loyalty department and set up one as a new customer from Comcast.
When the billing came all three were charged more per month then what they were told by loyalty. In two of the cases when they called back in they were told that whoever they spoke with was "not authorized" to give them the promotion and then offered them a higher monthly plan, @ $15.00 a month more. The latest case was a new customer who was given a bundled price with Verizon and is now being charged full price. This is classic bait and switch and they could all switch to Comcast, but their practices are even worse. It sure would be nice if you could trust your provider to honor what they tell you on the phone, but I guess those days are gone! I would have them complain to the PUC, but in Colorado nobody regulates internet providers. I guess Centurylink figures they can get away with it (and they can) because most people won't take the time or hassle to complain.
