I don't think cable internet access is considered an essential service. Adelphia can respond to the plaintiffs by disconnecting their service, claiming that if they are not happy with the service they don't have to subscribe. This is what having a monopoly is all about. I am an Adelphia PowerLink subscriber and I am reasonably satisfied with the service, but it could be better. I can't get DSL, so Adelphia cable is really my only broadband option. |

| I agree that it's not an essential service but I do want what I pay for....constant connection. Every evening around 8:00pm the service goes down. This has happened almost the entire month of March. That's what prompted me to start doing the speed tests every evening. I wanted to know if it was a modem problem or the cable itself. |
