Anon | reply to Anon Re: Telocity takes over Phoenix Residential (real)
The quote mentioned by a couple of people here (from the Telocity FAQ page for the Phoenix switchover, I believe):
"Effective December 30, 2000 you will be relieved of any contractual obligations with PhoenixDSL. Telocity offers their service on a month-to-month basis. No contract will be required..."
I know I saw this quote somewhere on their site yesterday, but cannot find it today! I'm concerned that this means they may try to charge "termination fees" if a customer refuses their new terms (higher price; lower upload speed; etc.)
However, I suspect the "termination fee" is a formality, only if someone cancels before the actual switchover on Dec 30. After that, there is no annual contract, so someone ought to be able to cancel at any time.
But I still don't know why that statement has disappeared from the site...
I've sent an email to Telocity asking about this ... waiting to hear... |
