TWC commecial

Time Warner Cable is available somewhere near my viewing area, as I see their commercials all the time. Most of the time I pay little attention to them, till today..

I saw a commercial, for an internet product, costing only $14.99 a month. Frankly, I couldn't read the small print to see what the speeds were, but they did boast these features:

1. No data caps
2. No other service (such as tv or phone) was required
3. This was not a "special" or introductory price, and no contract required.

I realize this is going to be very "slow" service, but it is nice to see a company trying to compete on price for a change. They must be facing stiff competition from DSL.

The big points to me, were you didn't have to have some "package" for this price, and no caps.

I know CentryLink runs commercials here, about their $19.95 internet packages, but I know they also require you to have their expensive unlimited phone service that runs around $30 extra.

Any TWC offerings you have seen recently is likely an attempt to make their merger actually happen. Comcast did the same thing a few years ago with their affordable package.
