Thanks all. I finally bit the bullet and ordered a CISCO 678 from Qwest. $299, no rebate, ouch!

For what it's worth, rumor has it that Q is going to start "leasing" modems w/DSL... but I don't think that starts till the end of the month... and I'm not even sure it applies to the Cisco's... they're trying to get the testing done on the next generation... the Arescom 1000 series (1060 I think)... and start the "lease" promotion with them.
