[MN] Outage In Savage, Mn. / Channel Bonding Reduced From 4 to 2We had an outage in Savage, MN today. After service was restored, my 100/10 service is only bonding on 2 downstream channels. Normally it's 4. My download speed is also at ~ 60, where it is usually 100+. Recycling my modem(SB6121) a second time has not produced an improvement. Anyone else in MN having this issue? |

Re: [MN] Outage In Savage, Mn.I'm having speed issues down here in Tyler MN but still bonding 4/1 after yesterdays outage. I am seeing about 80/10 right now, but i was averaging around 105 for months so not sure whats going on yet. I have been chatting with them on their Support Forum and they just don't give a crap from what i can gather.
Same old stuff, bypass router because that must be it, blah blah, did that speedtest the same. Reboot router, the same. Check all connections, the same. Signal levels are good just can't get the speed i used to have. |

Hey pjschwartz , I'm showing there is definitely a downstream signal issue. This is more than likely causing your slow speeds. To get this resolved it would be best to schedule for at technician to come out and further investigate. May I schedule this for you? |

Yes, go ahead . . . but it would be great if they could first investigate from the outside, before they insist on rewiring the inside of the house, only to find an external issue For what it is worth, I have done 3 reboots. Each time, downstream bonding only occuring on channels 139 and 140 . . . with SNRs / Power Levels of 37 /10 and 38 / 10 respectively . . . the logs show the "RCS Partial Service" error after each reboot. |

Re: [MN] Outage In Savage, Mn. / Channel Bonding Reduced From 4 to 2An update: Over the course of the weekend, all 4 downstream channels came back, but 137 was showing an SNR in the mid 20s and a huge number of uncorrectable codewords . . . A tech came out on Monday and diagnosed the problem as a DOCIS 3 non-compatible trap at the tap. He replaced the trap. The modem is now bonding across all 4 downstream channels (137, 138, 139 and 140) and they are showing SNR / Power levels of 36 db / 11 dbmv. . . However, 1) My max download speed is still coming in at only 70 mb where I had been seeing consistent 100 + prior to the outage. 2) Mediacom is indicating there was no work recently done at the headend, but I find it strange that the trap just now caused issues (did they change downstream channels?) and my download speed is maxing out at 70 despite now receiving clean downstream signals. |

I'm still averaging about 80-90 here for downstream speed, i can get a little more towards 91-92 depending on the test site i select. But man for months i had 105/10 solid as a rock! Now its up and down daily... |
