Telus Fibre now coming to Calgary!Unfortunately not quite in my Area, but seems like a nice start. Hopefully they expand north between Thornecliffe and Beddington. » fibre.telus.com/calgary |

I've had fibre in Calgary for the past three years. I'm surprised as to how TELUS isn't recognizing my area as fibre ready. |

Seems this is the brownfield deployment list not greenfield as Telus has already been using fiber for new neighbourhoods for the past number of years. |

I'm more wondering where the deployment in the south is happening. That map only has areas north of the Bow |

good luck with that Just Rogers/Bell in Ontario, plus the small regions that Cogeco and Shaw offer down near Hamilton. I doubt Telus will ever expand into Ontario |

I as well have had Fibre for 3 or more years
I lived in Kincora and fibre was already laid there, and now Skyview and of course had fibre. Pretty sure all new residential areas have fibre |

very true, my neighboorhood went up in 99. only completed recently we fully moved in jan 2000 i believe stonebridge started being build 2004-2005, they all have fiber.... 5 years later i probably would have been on fiber im assuming shaw is still laying cable into new establishments though....... kinda stubborn no? |

Cool, looks like my area's first! It's the only one "Coming in August". Any ideas what the speeds and price plans will be like? |

same as normal plans
$60 for 15mbit (awful pricing, awful tier) $65 for 25mbit (worse price then shaw) $80 for 50mbit (same price as shaw) $90 for 100mbit (same price as shaw) |

Upstream is great. Usually get 50% more speed than promised on Fibre here in Edmonton. Right now only Internet 50 is available. Promised 10 Mbps up and usually get 17 or 18 Mbps... same with downstream. Promised 50 Mbps, get 72 Mbps. Highly recommend Fibre. Makes no sense because as far as TELUS is concerned, Edmonton isn't on "fibre", yet I'm in a Fibre neighbourhood. Bizarre. |

said by hybrid02:Here Bell will not doing FTTH in the older neighbourhoods area. That isn't true. Where Bell is doing FTTH is mainly neighborhoods with aerial wiring which are older neighborhoods. |

So glad they changed the color scheme. I couldn't tell if my area was scheduled for August or November before. |

We have it in Edson in one neighbourhood now, my neighbour just had his installed last week. Everyone in the older neighbourhoods with buried utilities has orange conduit trenched from their house to the street, sitting coiled up by the sidewalk. |
