Incoming From CT - Looking For Answers(Based off Verizon Sale)Well, with us in CT being moved to Frontier on the 25th, I was curious of what those of you sold by Verizon had happen when you were transferred. 1) Did you line conditions get worse? Better? Pretty much the same? 2) Did your pricing change much at all? 3) Is Frontier's online account features really lacking compared to Verizon's? 4) How long was it before Frontier brands were on the equipment? Were they still using old equipment? 5) Were there any issues while you were being transferred over? 6) Did Frontier do anything in terms of advertising when it first happened? 7) Whatever else you think would be helpful to me. Verizon support, to me, always appeared decent. Connection, while only 3Mbps, never had issues. Rock solid. We now have awful congestion with frontier. It's slowly gotten worse since the Verizon sale. Fromtier just keeps selling accounts on RT's that don't have the bandwidth. |

They ran fiber everywhere and where gearing up to launch a state wide HFC network for video until at&t (AKA SBC) took over. We don't have T1 fed RT's or any of that other old stuff thankfully. VRAD's have multi-gig backhauls and the RT's have more backhaul then they can push over copper because at&t wont sell faster then 6m on that service. In the near term I dont see much changing but who knows... |

I can't really see it all going down hill anytime soon either. I wish Frontier at least advertises more. I see the occasional AT&T TV ad, but that's it. Comcast always sends me mail even when I was a customer about current customer offers lol. AT&T? Never. If only we still had SNET..., well, we still "kinda" do. Does the Frontier deal give Frontier the rights to the SNET name(since all of the you belong to SNET stuff when it comes to ETFs). If so, it would probably be wise of Frontier to just use the SNET name as a separate company for CT, that's just my opinion though lol. |

I had Verizon (ex-GTE) for voice and internet in northern Michigan during the Frontier transition. Initially, they maintained the Verizon billing platform for about 6-8 months, with only the mailing address changing. Sings changed almost immediately and Verizon branded items were used until inventory was used up. We had six months to move our e-mail off of Verizon (which I understand is not happening in CT). Things initially improved, such as service response times, but after a year things went down hill. Internet speeds fell by by over 60% and became unusable during the evenings. When they changed the area to their billing systems, on-line ordering became unavailable. Line quality fell and I could not use the phone after it rained due to poor line quality. When I called to complain, I was told that upgrades were coming to Internet (never came) and as for the line troubles, by they time they came to test the line, the line had dried out. After Charter upgraded their cable system, I jumped to them. I have AT&T U-Verse at my other home and never had an issue with the service or dealing with AT&T. |

I have been told that AT&T is giving Frontier no help at all in the transition, Verizon on the other hand gave plenty of help to make sure things went well. One of my questions is who will provide customer service for U-Verse? Because it is Frontier TV powered by AT&T U-verse®, will it still be AT&T? If not what sort of training will be provided to Frontier's reps? Only time will tell what will happen, from what I have been told it is ether happening this weekend or next weened, would be nice if AT&T would send an update our way. |

The AT&T techs have had people in from Frontier training them over the past few weeks, the trainers were telling them that Verizon was very helpful in giving them info help in the transition whale AT&T was not giving them nearly as much. said by Darknessfall:It's supposed to be the 25th. I assume that Frontier will be handling everything. Frontier just sort of took on the U-verse branding. Word among some of the techs is that AT&T would like to close the deal before that if at all possible, don't know if this will happen or not. |

I'm just hoping Frontier is going to be willing to look into our road's database problem. We haven't been able to get the higher tiers that require pair bonding because they flag our addresses as MDUs(which we aren't) and AT&T doesn't typically pair bond MDUs. Also, for CT customers looking to purchase Frontier service, there's still the sign up form that you can fill out to be notified. » frontierct.com/prospecti ··· ndex.php |

Here are some changes to the FAQ that I noticed(or maybe old ones that I didn't notice). I don't remember these being there when I checked not too long ago. They were probably just added. What happens to my existing merged Yahoo! ID after my service is disconnected or canceled? We strongly encourage you to sign up for our Frontier Yahoo! email address so we can assist. Although AT&T customers can keep their existing Yahoo! email, Frontier cannot help troubleshoot any problems with your AT&T email, as we do not have access to these accounts. Please contact AT&T if you need assistance with your AT&T Yahoo! email account. Will my static IP address change?Yes. Your static IP address will change. Over the coming weeks and months Frontier personnel will work to provide you with your new IP address. How do I access the new Frontier Voicemail portal?(This isn't actually active yet) You may access the portal by going to » frontier.com and clicking Help Center. How do I return old equipment after I have received my new replacement equipment from Frontier? When you receive your replacement equipment from Frontier, you will also be provided with a pre-labeled UPS packing slip and return box. To locate your nearest UPS store, please visit ups.com/locator. Will I continue to get my DISH® discount? (and a bunch of other DISH stuff I don't want to list) Yes. If you currently receive a DISH® discount, you will continue to receive a discount as long as you keep the required level of DISH® programming. You will begin receiving a bill directly from DISH® starting with your next billing cycle. I guess we will see what happens in a few months. Don't use the Hartford server. Use the NY servers. The Inerail server is generally good.

For the "How do I calculate broadband usage?" FAQ question -
It has changed from: "Frontier offers unlimited broadband usage, therefore, we do not offer a way for you to calculate your usage."
to: "Frontier does not offer a way for you to calculate your usage."

Frontier should push that as a selling point since they cant compete on raw speed. "We may be slower but at least we are cheaper and unlimited!" Has there been a pricelist put anywhere yet? I may be moving to Harwinton and its adsl there. |

Has there been a pricelist put anywhere yet? I may be moving to Harwinton and its adsl there. I haven't seen anything yet. You can't even access the purchase page for Frontier U-verse yet. I wonder if Frontierct.com will actually be used from next week on. If it does, we have our own little site :P. Don't forget to to ask your family and such to sign up for this if they are thinking about getting service: » frontierct.com/prospecti ··· ndex.phpIf no one has Frontier where you are/moving, there's probably not going to be much of a demand to upgrade. |

Addresses have now been added to the Frontier database... or the Frontier website just sees CT and gives us that message! The build your bundle page currently gives the message "We are unable to provide Online Ordering in the requested service area. To place your order, please call 1.800.340.9517 and a consultant will be happy to assist you." |

For some reason, some of the Frontier websites are saying "Congratulations! FiOS Internet from Frontier is available in your area. Call now!"
Anyone have any idea of how long it'll take for you to order services on the Frontier.com website? |

This was coming from a land line tech, in Northeastern CT. It is what one of the trainers told them. Perhaps the backside is better than the tech side. |

Two hours!
Plus, is the Frontier.com website not working for anyone else right now? I suppose they're working on it. Update: Nvm, it's back.
As of this evening, the AT&T website now says "We wish we had better news, but Connecticut isn't in our service area." |
