[Equip] DPC3939 just replaced with DPC3941T FindingsComcast came and gone and I have the brand new shiny DPC3941T installed. Status screens are identical to the DPC3939 Only difference I am seeing is the wireless supports AC bands and is 3 x 3 Posting a screenshot of the firmware...firmware version is identical to the DPC3939 other then stating 3941 insteasd of 3939 in the build string. |

Re: [Equip] DPC3939 just replaced with DPC3941T FindingsFrom what I understand the 3941 is supposed to be a 24x4 device according to Cisco documentation where as the 3939 is only a 8x8 device. The documentation could be wrong though. |

If you have a 2.4Ghz wireless N device connected to it could you run a speedtest on it?
I got one recently and the download speed over 2.4GHz was fine but the upload was about 10kbps on any device i tried. I ended up just putting it in bridge mode and got a free Asus TM-1900 (AC68U) from T-mobile to use. I'm just curious if yours does it to. |

I believe the Cisco DPC3941T is 24x8, while the DPC3939 is 16x4. NetDog showed that the DPC3941T had achieved speeds of 700/90 in the lab when it was bonding 24x4: » Re: [Equip] Comcast introduces a new wireless gateway - the Cisco DPC3941T |

Yeah I spotted that this morning, hot damn that's fast! He ever send you that config file? lol . Also crap, I don't know how I typed "8x8" when I meant "16x4". Me and my lack of sleep lol . Yeah the 3939 is 16x4 according to the Cisco docs and the 3941 is I think 24x4 according to other reports, but Cisco is making things confusing for no reason. Cisco's datasheet on their website says "24x8" but the spec sheet PDF and user guide PDF descriptions both say "24x4" but the specification itself on page 7 of the spec sheet says "8 downstream channels" and the ordering information page on page 8 says "Cisco Model DPC3941TT DOCSIS 3.0 8x4 Wireless Residential Gateway." Who let the interns work on this? » www.cisco.com/web/consum ··· 41t.html |

Nice. What are the rollout plans? What did you have to do to get one of these? |

This seems like a great unit and hoping Comcast starts pushing more areas to 16 bonded. |

My only concern would be the wireless range of the unit. Has anyone here tested it at all? Just curious. Thanks. |

All gateways are terrible for wireless. Best to use your own modem and separate router so you have control over your network and all firmware upgrades. |

These are pretty decent, especially the 5Ghz band range. Plenty of customization available of course not all the advanced features that people want but it does a good job. Currently nationwide shortage on these and we aren't getting any more shipped to us to install. |

I'm not surprised the XB3 products give great in home W-Fi since Xfinity has been doing a lot of touting about it. » corporate.comcast.com/co ··· e-nation I am surprised however that more customers didn't get one. Are you saying there's a shortage of both the Cisco DPC3941T and Technicolor TC8717 AC XB3 models or just the Cisco? |

Mmm I dunno, those PDF's are pretty confusing all by themselves because I still dunno if that model is 24x8 or 24x4. |

Ok so I did some more digging and came across some info from the TekSavvy Canadian thread. » Cisco DPC3848 - Modem gateway. It's an interesting read about upstream frequencies and DOCSIS 3.1 and a really cool Cisco gateway. |
