[BC] Port Forwarding on the Shaw CGNM-2250I just had my CGNM come and get hooked up, and was setting up my ports when I found out that at the moment the firmware only allows 9 forwarding rules to be set. Is there any way to increase the max amount of rules? If not then is there possibly a way to bypass it, or do I have to wait until there is a firmware upgrade that increases the max ruleset? |

You'll find this limit on many consumer level routers.
Only way to bypass it is to use your own router |

Best thing to do is get it put in bridge mode and get your own router. |

Hello, In addition to his question. I also have the Shaw CGNM-2250 and I'm trying to port forward so that I can access the WD MyCloud drive I purchased. Western Digital says I need to open ports 45 and 80 but that's all they can tell me. Shaw says that they don't assist in port forwarding. I've done several google searches to get assistance but have come up empty. Could you provide instructions? Thank you. |

Hey there dsamps03 , I know this guide is for forwarding ports to use the XBOX service, but it does show a step by step guide for the Hitron modem, » portforward.com/english/ ··· _One.htmSee if that helps you find the correct area in the modem. |

There is a known bug with trying to portforward using the Hitron on ports 22, 80, 443, and one other one that I am forgetting right now
Doesn't work or gives errors, basically, they are reserved in the Hitron's firmware, so for now, it won't work to forward port 80 |
