Shaw speed tests

Anyone got any speedtests of the new Shaw packages they would like to share? (Yes I know pricing is a bit of a crapshot)

Thanks

It's not one of the new packages but here is my grandfathered 100/5 speedtest.

Edit, the upload is usually about 5.5 Mbps but i currently have some cloud backups in progress.

I'm not sure how much the Biz 100x10 costs but I'm sure it's no longer available.

My 100x5 Home package including basic home phone and Personal TV with Best of HD is $70 for one year (new home build promotion till the end of 2015).

The actual "Broadband 100" as stated on my bill without all the discounts is $99.

Oh, yes the 100x10 package was only available in a few areas and hasn't been available for 1+ year. I miss the 10Mb upload...

The reason why I know it's no longer available is from (if I remember correctly) reading one of your post a few months ago where you mentioned it

I also miss the part where the phase 2 DNU upgrade "promised" and never delivered 10Mbps UP on the 100 Mbps plans.

It was only select areas they offered the 100 plan with the 10 up, luckily I fell into that category. I would have to dig through bills for when I had, but well over a year ago. Since then the upload speeds have dropped more and more.

Re: Shaw speed tests

I can't believe I'm going to say this but I wish we had Rogers out here with their new offers.

Unlimited 100x10 for $84.99
Unlimited 250x20 for $94.99

and throw in the fact that they over provision the upload by ~10% and the download by ~30% and you end up with 325x22 speeds (as reported by some Rogers users in this forum)

I know this may be a minor point by some people but does Rogers still do the DPI injects when you go over cap (moot, as unlimited) or for other service message (maintenance , pointless babble, etc)

Nice speeds but that must be pricey. BB250 is $10 more than the 120mbps plan. Such a joke. Over the next few years watch them re-intriduce faster speeds less than the old bb250 for more money.

For those with the 250 plan, don't dare touch it whatsoever. Even if you are only getting 100Mb download speeds, having that 15Mb upload would be so nice right now.

Wondering if they will ever bring 250 back or the times are REALLY changing as per the new internet speeds...120, 60, etc.

I don't see 250 coming back anytime soon. Probably see cities doing their own fiber rollouts before that happens.

God I miss that French internet I had on vacation just around a month ago. EuroDOCSIS 3 I think it was? Only around $25 a month too

That's juicy! Needs a little more upload is all and that would be absolute ideal!

They have upto 400mbps with 20 up over cable as well for around $60, you can also get vdsl2 and fiber in some newer areas.
